THE HUGO AWARD WINNERS: WORLDCON 2012

The Hugo Award winners were announced yesterday in Chicago, much to our excitement, with China Miéville *and* Paul Cornell (in two categories, no less) gracing the shortlists. And we are delighted to report that Paul Cornell won in the Best Fancase category, for the SF Squeecast, co-produced with Lynne M. Thomas, Seanan McGuire, Elizabeth Bear, and Catherynne M. Valente. Many congratulations to all the winners and nominees, and here below are those winning books and the fine shortlists they came from. This is courtesy of WorldCon 2012 (Chicon 7) and the World Science Fiction Society. I was at last year’s WorldCon Hugo Awards ceremony in Reno, and sorry not to be there for this one! But it looked like it had a fabulous programme and I’m sure a good time was had by all. If you want to know more about the Hugos and their history, more info is HERE.

Also, if you want to catch that video interview with China Miéville again, released on publication of his Hugo-shortlisted novel Embassytown, it’s HERE.
