I inherited my love of science fiction from my dad and grew up in a house with bookshelves filled with the likes of Kurt Vonnegut and Arthur C Clarke.

In the run up to Halloween, we’ve seen a peak in zombie activity around major UK cities (see our post last week on World Zombie Day). Perhaps it has something to do with the UK TV premier of The Walking Dead Season 3 tonight on FX UK?!
The Walking Dead Series 3 sees yet another English actor joining the cast alongside Andrew Lincoln, in the shape of David Morrissey. You might remember him from the fabulous State of Play TV series where he played a rather suspect political figure.
Now he returns to our screens as The Governor - a seemingly kind, helpful individual – who has built and controls a barricaded utopian community safe from the zombie hoard. The Governor plays a major role in the Walking Dead books we publish here at Tor – see The Rise of the Governor and The Road to Woodbury (published this month).
